General Luna

General Luna is the touristy side of Siargao.

It is also where the food is best, where the nights stay open later, and where everything seems to happen at once.

We moved around on the motorbike — different cuisines, desserts, beaches, photo spots — without much of a plan beyond following what sounded good next. One evening stayed with me more than the rest: an open club across the beach, the full moon sitting over the ocean, bats cutting through the dark. The water below. The light. It felt slightly unreal.

That is General Luna. Busy, social, full of options.

I would stay again — just not for too long. The north side of Siargao is where I prefer to linger. Quieter beaches. Less noise. More space to actually slow down.

General Luna is for the nights and the meals.

The north is for the rest of the day.
